HAND-CARVED CHINESE CHOPS
Chinese chops, or seals, are used to enhance the meaning of your work or compositions. These custom, hand-carved seals are known as chops and are made from native soapstone. They will add a poetic expression or a statement from the artist. After the chop/seal has been created it must be stamped onto paper with red ink paste to show that it has been made "useful". Many artists become collectors of these treasured chops. Ink sold separately (see below).

                         

Autumn Moon Paper has developed a relationship with a group of craftsmen in China to produce these works of art. We are able to obtain these at a reasonable price so we can pass this on to our customers. Custom chops can be ordered as well.    INK PASTE
Traditional Cinnabar red ink paste is created to retain its hue and luster eternally. Good ink paste will last for many years if kept in its tightly sealed container. Available in two sizes.
